Hi Kim,
I just wanted to write and give you the latest on Celine. I can't tell you how much she has changed. She is so funny. She makes me laugh everyday. She is completely used to me and Bella and allows me to love her all the time. She even gets jealous if the cat jumps on the couch (her couch!) next to me. I give her a bath in the sink and she just lays in my arms. She rolls over on her back and lets me scratch her tummy and it is just so cute. She loves the car and runs to the door to go with us. She has only had a few accidents and is doing really really well going out to use the potty. I just love her. Please tell anyone who is thinking about adopting a rescue dog my success story. I was so unsure of her at first but it is just amazing the turn around. She is my little baby and I just adore her!! If anyone needs encouragement you can pass along my email address and I will tell them that there is hope, even when you think a dog is never going to love or trust. I am positive that she is happy and loving her new family and we just love her so much too!
Sincerely,
Jennifer

Hi Jenny!!! I can't tell you how much we love this little puppy!!! I also suspected that she was a bit older but it doesn't matter to us since we have already fallen in love with her. Our great friend Kim came over this evening with her sweet boy Willy and told us that our new girl's name needed to start with an " S ". She couldn't explain why but we took her word for it as she has known us and our various pets for more than twenty years. After much thought, consideration and a vote, we have decided on SADIE !!!!!!!!!!!!! So please welcome the very lovable and sweet Sadie to our household!!! Cath and I are pet sitting this weekend; my sister is at Perdue where my niece goes to school. We have their BIG Golden Retriever and she absolutely loves the little Sadie. All is well at this home and we love our little girl. Thanks and kisses from all of us, Ann, Cathy, Punky, Harry, Chica, Sadie and the boarder Cinnamon. XOXOXOXOXOXO.

Update: Katrina remains a normal, happy puppy and is now 12 weeks old. She has adjusted well with her condition and growing into a beautiful young lady.

Katrina is a little lab mix about 8 weeks old. When she came it was found that she has a medical condition know as mega esophagus (where her esophagus is larger than it should be with very lax muscle tone). The vet has done surgery on her to help some with the problem. This is a condition she will not outgrow. This little girl can have nothing solid to eat. She must be fed canned food mix with water and her food bowl must be elevated. Her stitches are out now and she is spayed and up to date on her shots. Katrina is a normal, happy, playful puppy in every other way except for her diet.

Hi Jenny,
I wanted to let you know how the weekend with with Bandit. He is truly a blessing. He is so mannered, quiet, playful, smart, respectful, easy to get along with, cuddly, self disciplined, etc. I can't say enough about this dog. My wifes family spent the day with us on Sunday and fell in love with him. They asked if we ever run across another one like him to let them know. He never even attempted to mark or go potty in the house, and we watched him like a hawk. He gets along fantastic with both my kids and the other dogs. None of the dogs even curled a lip at him. He never tried to chase the cats, really never even gave them a second look. He is still trying to figure out the horses. They were curious about him and put their noses down to smell him but he thought they were too big and ought to keep their distance.

I can't tell you enough how happy we are with him and how glad we are there are people like you and your friends that do what you do. I can't believe anyone would have neglected a nice dog like Bandit and I'm sure there are thousands of others out there the same way. Blows my mind. You see a lot, I'm sure, of the negative part of your industry, I really wanted to share our experience with you so you can enjoy the benefits of your labors. Thank you sooo much, keep doing what you do because you make a huge difference in this world, and pass this letter onto the rest of your team. God bless you all and thank you.
Respectfully,
Barry
P.S. My daughter changed his name to Monte

Hi Jenny!
So far, so good! We just adore this little guy. He’s so cute. We were worried about him yesterday. He wouldn’t eat or drink. Finally, we accidentally spilled his food on the floor and he gobbled it up. We decided maybe he never really had a bowl before. Today, I l put a Hansel & Gretel-style line of food across the floor to his bowl and now he’s using the bowl. He is still not drinking much. Do you think he had to drink from a drip bottle at the puppymill? He seems to get along very well with everyone J Our kids love playing with him in the yard.
We did rename him. We debated names for the entire 2-hour drive home. We finally came up with Oliver/Ollie.
He is becoming more familiar with it. And sometimes turns his head when we call him! I will send a report on his progress in the next few months, too, if you want.
And thank you so much for the photo! Good luck with your good work.
Regards,

Mary
